John 12:1-8

We can have a special place with the Lord when we take 4 actions.

“There were some who said to themselves indignantly, ‘Why was the ointment wasted like that? For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.’ And they scolded her,” Mark 14:4-5.

“When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him,” Mark 16:1.

She had a special place — “Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her,” Matthew 26:13.

1. Financially value spiritual matters
2. Keep pure motives
3. Resist criticizing
4. Prioritize the mission
